What You Get¶
A formatted newsletter suitable for parents, including:
- Class highlights -- Summary of what students have been learning
- Student achievements -- General class accomplishments (no individual student names unless you include them)
- Upcoming events -- What is coming next
- Announcements -- Any notices you have added
- Friendly, professional tone -- Written for a parent audience
Tips¶
- Add specific highlights -- "We completed our volcano experiment" is more engaging than letting Mossie guess
- Include dates -- Parents appreciate knowing when things are happening
- Review for accuracy -- Check that activities mentioned actually happened
- Keep it regular -- A weekly or fortnightly newsletter builds a communication habit with parents
- Use with Voice Learning -- Newsletters sound more personal when they match your writing style
