Export Options¶
Get your content out of Mossie and into the tools you use. Every document you create can be exported in multiple formats, so you are never locked in.
Available Formats¶

How to Export¶
- Open any document in the editor
- Tap the Export button in the toolbar
- Choose your format
- The document is created or downloaded
For Google exports, you need to connect your Google account first (see below).
Google Docs Export¶
Creates a properly formatted Google Doc in your Drive:
- Preserves heading structure, bullet points, and paragraphs
- Opens automatically in a new browser tab
- Headings, lists, and formatting are converted to native Google Docs styles
Export Templates¶
Apply your school's formatting automatically when exporting to Google Docs. Create a template with your school's logo, fonts, and layout, then use it every time you export.

Google Slides Export¶
Premium Feature
Google Slides export requires a Premium subscription.
Converts document sections into presentation slides:
- Each major heading (H1 or H2) becomes a new slide
- Content under each heading becomes slide bullet points
- Great for turning lesson plans into classroom presentations
- No manual reformatting needed
Google Forms Export¶
Premium Feature
Google Forms export requires a Premium subscription.
Available for assessment documents only. Creates an interactive quiz:
- Questions become form fields
- Multiple choice questions auto-grade when students submit
- Short answer and open-ended questions are included for manual review
- Answer key is available for the teacher
Assessment Export Variants¶
When exporting assessments, you can choose which version to create:

This lets you print one version for students and keep another for yourself.
Setting Up Google Exports¶
First Time¶
- Tap any Google export option (Docs, Slides, or Forms)
- A Google sign-in popup appears
- Sign in and grant permissions when prompted
- Your document is exported automatically
After Setup¶
Google exports work with one tap -- no sign-in needed after the first time.
Disconnecting Google¶
To remove Mossie's access to your Google account:
- Go to Google Account Permissions
- Find "Mossie"
- Click Remove Access
Where Exports Are Available¶
From the Document Editor¶
When viewing any saved document:
- Tap Export in the toolbar
- Choose your format
- Document is created or downloaded
From AI Tool Results¶
When you generate content with any AI tool:
- Tap Export on the generated result
- Choose your format
- Save or share immediately
Troubleshooting¶
Google export options do not appear¶
Your administrator may need to configure Google OAuth. See the Google Workspace Setup Guide.
"Failed to export to Google Docs"¶
- Check your internet connection
- Sign out and sign back in to Google
- Try again in a few minutes
- Clear browser cache and cookies
Popup blocked¶
Allow popups for the Mossie site in your browser settings. Google exports open in a new tab, which some browsers block by default.
