Account Setup¶
Configure your Mossie workspace so it works the way you need it to.
Profile¶
Access your profile from Settings (gear icon in the sidebar on web, or via the More menu on mobile).
- Display name -- How Mossie greets you and how your name appears on generated documents
- School name -- Used for context in AI-generated content (e.g., "At Oakwood Primary, we...")
- Timezone -- Controls when reminders fire and how scheduling works
- Preferred language -- Sets your UI language. Choose from:
- English
- Afrikaans
- isiZulu
- isiXhosa
- Spanish (Espanol)
- Swedish (Svenska)
- French (Francais)
- Portuguese (Portugues)
Note
Your UI language is separate from AI output language. You can use Mossie in English but generate lesson plans in Afrikaans. AI output language is set per generation and supports 16+ languages.
Teaching Rhythm¶
Set up your school calendar so Mossie knows when terms start and end, when holidays fall, and when key events happen.
Term Structure¶
Choose the term structure that matches your school:
| Structure | Terms per year |
|---|---|
| Semester | 2 |
| Trimester | 3 |
| Quarter | 4 |
| Australian | 4 |
| UK | 3 |
Setting Up Your Calendar¶
- Go to Settings then Teaching Rhythm
- Select your term structure
- For each term, enter:
- Term name (e.g., "Term 1", "Fall Semester")
- Start date
- End date
- Add holidays and non-teaching days
- Add key events: report due dates, parent conferences, exam periods
Why This Matters¶
Your Teaching Rhythm powers several features:
- End-of-term reminders -- Mossie prompts you to prepare report cards and term summaries
- Workflow scheduling -- Automated workflows can trigger at term boundaries
- Context in generation -- AI outputs can reference "this term" or "before the holiday"
For a detailed guide, see Teaching Rhythm.

Voice Learning¶
Premium Feature
Voice Learning is available on the Premium plan.
Voice Learning teaches Mossie how you write so that AI-generated content sounds like you -- your vocabulary, your tone, your sentence structure.
How to Set It Up¶
- Go to Settings then Voice Learning
- Tap Add Writing Sample
- Provide examples of your writing:
- Paste text from emails, newsletters, or reports you have written
- Upload documents that represent your style
- The more samples you provide, the better Mossie learns your voice
- Mossie analyzes your samples and builds a style profile
What Mossie Learns¶
- Vocabulary preferences (formal vs. casual, subject-specific terms)
- Tone and warmth (how you address students and parents)
- Sentence structure (short and direct, or longer and descriptive)
- Common phrases and patterns you use
Privacy¶
- Your style profile is used only for your workspace
- It is never shared with other users
- You can delete your style profile and all writing samples at any time
- Voice Learning is opt-in -- Mossie will not analyze your writing unless you explicitly provide samples
Data and Privacy¶
Export Your Data¶
Download a copy of all your data at any time:
- Go to Settings then Privacy

Warning
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All documents, notes, uploaded files, student data, voice samples, and settings will be permanently removed. This action is irreversible.
Per-Student Data Deletion¶
