Languages¶
Mossie supports multiple languages for both the interface and AI-generated content.
UI Languages¶
The Mossie interface is available in 8 languages:
| Language | Code |
|---|---|
| English | en |
| Afrikaans | af |
| isiZulu | zu |
| isiXhosa | xh |
| Spanish | es |
| Swedish | sv |
| French | fr |
| Portuguese | pt |
How to Change Your UI Language¶
- Go to Settings then Account
- Find Preferred Language
- Select your language
- The interface switches immediately
The UI language applies across all your devices -- web, phone, tablet, and watch.
AI Output Languages¶
AI-generated content (lesson plans, feedback, assessments, newsletters, and everything else) can be produced in 16 or more supported languages. The AI output language is independent of your UI language.
This means you can use Mossie in English but generate lesson plans in Afrikaans, or use the interface in French but create assessments in English.
How to Set the AI Output Language¶
Per generation:
When using any AI assistant, look for the Language selector. Choose the language you want for that specific generation.
Default language:
Your preferred language (set in Settings) is used as the default for AI output. You can override it for any individual generation.
What This Looks Like in Practice¶
- A teacher in a bilingual school might use Mossie in English but generate parent newsletters in Afrikaans
- A French-speaking teacher could set the UI to French and generate all content in French without changing any settings
- A language teacher might generate vocabulary activities in the target language while keeping the interface in their native language
Adding Languages¶
Mossie regularly adds support for new languages. If your language is not available, let us know -- AI output languages are especially easy to add since they do not require translation files.
